This Privacy Notice explains how Alexander Hallenbeck ("we", "us", "Vantable") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use the Vantable product feedback intelligence service (the "Service"). Alexander Hallenbeck is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, login credentials (via our auth provider).
- Workspace data: brand names, source configurations, and feedback content you ingest.
- Usage & telemetry: pages viewed, features used, device identifiers, IP address, and browser type.
- Support communications: messages you send to us.
- Billing data: collected and processed by our reseller Paddle — we do not store card numbers.
2. Purposes and legal bases
- Providing and operating the Service — performance of contract.
- Securing the Service, preventing fraud and abuse — legitimate interests.
- Improving product features and diagnostics — legitimate interests.
- Customer support — performance of contract.
- Marketing communications where permitted — consent (you can withdraw at any time).
- Complying with legal obligations — legal obligation.
3. Sharing
We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:
- Hosting & infrastructure subprocessors that run the Service (cloud hosting, database, edge compute).
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for order processing, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds.
- AI model providers that power summarization and clustering features on your ingested content.
- Analytics and error-monitoring providers to keep the Service reliable.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell personal data.
4. International transfers
Personal data may be transferred outside your country of residence, including to the United States. Where such transfers involve personal data from the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses or applicable adequacy decisions.
5. Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Feedback and workspace content are deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, and you may delete your workspace at any time.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, port your data, and withdraw consent. 7. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege database policies — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to reduce risk.
8. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management, and limited analytics cookies to understand aggregate product usage. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser.
